Client
Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre (SLCC)
To create new and captivating drone footage of the SLCC building against the backdrop of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, aimed at enhancing marketing efforts to increase the amount of visitors and venue bookings.
Objective
SLCC sought updated aerial content to highlight its unique architecture and scenic location. The task was to capture the property in ideal winter conditions - a clear morning following a significant snowfall - a challenging endeavor due to the unpredictable weather in the valley.
Challenge
Persistent Efforts: The Reactive Design team made several visits to the site at sunrise, meticulously planning to capture the perfect conditions.
Optimal Timing and Scouting: After thorough scouting and waiting for the right moment, the team successfully seized a weather window to film the property, showcasing its stunning winter setting.
Solution
This collaboration between SLCC and Reactive Design exemplifies how targeted and creatively captured aerial footage can significantly enhance a venue’s marketing appeal. The project not only met but exceeded SLCC's expectations, leading to a fruitful ongoing relationship and diversified marketing content.
The winter drone footage received excellent reception, effectively showcasing the beauty of the SLCC in its snowy landscape.
The success of the winter shoot led to a subsequent summer project, where the team captured the property in sunset shoots, providing diverse seasonal content for SLCC's social media, website, and marketing materials.
